This is because; the future of every person depends on the kind of care and attention that he or she receives while young. While some children have many resources to cater for their future, some are unable to run their lives as required due to poverty. Some of the Kenyan kids live in slums and ghetto due to lack of care and attention.
The level of poverty in some third world countries is high. It is sad to see that some people cannot place a food in their table. Yet, the number of children in some of these countries is growing every day. Some countries have embarked in educating the parents the need of having children that they are able to cater for. However, though the birth control techniques seem to work, some people are still not conversant with them.
The desire of all parents is to take their children to good schools. This is education is very vital. Apart from getting a good job after completing education, it helps lighten up ones mind. An educated person cannot equal a person who is not educated. This is because; some opportunity requires one to have knowledge and wisdom to exploit. However, some children are not able to go to school, due to lack of fees, food, and even shoes.
The number of street children is high growing. Unlike in the past when most street children were boys, girls are also in the street today. This is sad considering the conditions in this street. Again, most street children abuse drugs. This is risky, considering the dangers that come with taking such drugs.
Child labor is a crime punishable by law in almost all countries. However, with the growing number of poor families, some children are forced to become breadwinners while they are below eighteen years of age. Boys are subjected to tiring jobs such as carrying heavy stones, and good. On the other hand, girls become house helps. Sometimes, these girls are sexually abused.
Some girls marry before their time. Sadly, some children are married against their wish. Their parents prefer marrying them instead for the sake of earning the money that come from dowry. In most case, some of the girls get married to old men. This is because; such men have money to pay their parents the money they require.
The future of every kid lies in having good education. While in school, children are taught good behaviors. They are also taught how to take care of themselves. This is a teaching that children cannot acquire outside school. Again, it is in school that a kid realizes his or her talent. If they do not get the opportunity of being in school, the kid may never realize their talents.
A child should live a comfortable live. As Kenyan kids from well up families, the children from these families should live comfortable lives as well. This is because; the future of such children is bright irrespective of the challenges that they undergo.
